“Europe allowed India to become a pharma hub” says Angela Merkel

As India is facing the second wave of the Covid19 debacle and the biggest headline in India still remains oxygen shortage.

Patients are being turned away because there is no oxygen in the hospitals. Supply of oxygen to medical facilities has been banned for industrial purposes instead for use on patients in dire need.

Normally India’s healthcare facilities consume just 15% of the countries oxygen, but since the second wave, consumption has gone up to nearly 90%, that certainly tells how serious the situation is.

It’s no surprise that in any given disaster, there’s always an opportunity for the devourer to benefit. Well in the case of India, Germany and China seemed to have seized the opportunity.

Chancellor Angela Merkel wasted no time or rather seized the opportunity to kick an ally down.
