This case has drawn conversation within corridors of power with One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson saying she is “fed up” with constantly changing language around gender, following the push for a motion calling for gender-neutral language to be banned passing the Australian Senate.

One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts put forward a motion in the Upper House, supported by the Government that said terms such as “chest feeding”, “lactating parent” and “birthing parent” should not be allowed in government literature because such language “distorts biological and relational descriptors”.
