South Africa’s Covid19 curfew lifted after nearly two years

Our prayers have prevailed and indeed the church is marching on as the South African government announced on Thursday night that the curfew will be lifted with immediate effect with zero restrictions on the hours of movement.

The DA (SA’s opposition party) leader said that there isn’t enough reason or there is no justification whatsoever for people’s constitutional rights to be infringed this way and made to look okay.

Gatherings remain restricted and are limited to no more than 1000 people indoors and no more than 2000 people outdoors. The change to the level 1 Covid-19 regulations comes just over few hours before South Africans ring in the New Year.
