Unilever to retrench over 1500 employees worldwide

In major plans to restructure their company, Unilever plans to cut jobs of over 1500 management roles all across the world.

Prior to this announcements, Unilever made a loss in £50-billion a bid takeover for the health care unit of GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer owned pharmaceuticals.

“Its proposed new organisation model will result in a reduction in senior management roles of around 15 percent”, said the Magnum ice cream and dove soap owner.
