Christian speaker gets cancelled for teaching Christian students biblical values

A Christian minister, speaking at a Christian college is being cancelled by Christian students because he is teaching Christian and biblical views. On the 14th of February, Gordon College In America welcomed speaker Marvin Daniels. Marvin is the executive director of faith-based community development organisation The Hope Centre.

The Missouri nonprofit organisation trains high school, middle school, and elementary students from over 15 campuses across the city in leadership and character development. When Marvin addressed attendees of the Massachusetts Christian school, he presented biblical themes which were based on 2 Corinthians on human sexuality.

This is where the trouble began. According  to the event’s transcript, Marvin’s take was not pro-trans. He said America is experiencing a culture in chaos in which political correctness is trying to redefine sexuality such that what was appropriate before is no longer appropriate. Surprisingly, some students didn’t appreciate his teaching and they lodged a complaint with the school board.

They deemed it a degrading and demeaning presentation. The series of teachings was set to host three more talks by Mr. Marvin, but Gordon College cancelled Marvin’s remaining appearances. Students were so offended by Marvin, they had organised a walk-out for his planned second appearance.
