South Africa: Oscar Mabuyane re-elected as chairperson

Oscar Mabuyane, the chairperson of the African National Congress (ANC) in Eastern Cape, said President Cyril Ramaphosa must run for re-election at the party’s national elective conference in December.

After being re-elected as the ANC’s Eastern Cape chairperson during the party’s elective conference, Mabuyane addressed party delegates in East London on Monday.

As LN24 SA correspondent Innocent Semosa reports Mabuyane claimed Ramaphosa had championed the regeneration of the ruling party and that he should be granted another five years to do so. Take a look
