GOP Senator asks Dr. Fauci about the article he wrote on the response to AIDS, Covid-19

Dr. Fauci faced the Senate committee on the Monkeypox response. A Month earlier Dr. Fauci had written an article highlighting that the American government had learnt great lessons from both the AIDS and Covid outbreak responses and have equipped the nation to respond better to the so called Monkeypox outbreak.

One of Dr. Fauci’s colleagues said the CDC does not have nearly the amount of information they need to design a more efficient testing and vaccination strategy. She also said the CDC doesn’t know if the people who are testing positive for monkeypox have been vaccinated or not.

While demographic data, such as race, ethnicity and gender, are reported in 91% of vaccinations, that data is only reported for 27% of tests and 47% of cases.
