Singapore national wage: National Wages Council recommends 5.5% to 7.5% salary increments

Singapore’s National Wages Council has called on employers to raise the pay for lower-wage workers earning up to S$2,200 by 5.5% to 7.5%.

This move will affect about one in five residents working full-time jobs. This is the highest range the NWC has proposed. It also urged firms to provide wage increments that reflect performance.

This, as companies call for more effort to increase the adoption of flexible wages. The government has accepted the guidelines. It will apply from December 2022 until end-November 2023.
