Possible end to Eskom security issues

Minister of defence, Thandi Modise has deployed members of the SANDF to multiple Eskom power stations in hopes to combat criminal organisation’s sabotage of the nation’s power plants.

This is following requests that were made by President Cyril Ramaphosa and Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan to deploy the SANDF to secure Eskom’s power stations.

According to the Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya, a minimum of 10 soldiers will be deployed to Tutuka, Camden, Majuba and Grootvlei power stations in an effort to combat theft, vandalism, sabotage and corruption.
