Today, US Treasury secretary Janet Yellen has called for a “constructive and fair” economic relationship between China and the US.
This comes as Washington is seeking to salvage fraying ties between the two nations.
Yellen has warned Beijing that the US will keep resisting what she has called “unfair” economic policies, adding that Washington is not trying to “stifle” the Chinese economy with national security measures.
